Sexiest Man Alive?!

So apparentley, i'm the only woman on the face of the planet that does not find Johnny Depp sexy..in any way whatsoever. He looks grungy, dirty, and messy. Yuck! People Magazine doesn't agree with me either, they just named him their #1 sexiest man alive for 2009. Blah.. I always look forward to this magazine, but they have been disappointing me in the passed few years.

Let's go back to 2006 because that's when I had Miss Priss and started staying home and thriving on these magazines to get my yearly fix or hotties! {wink}
2006 - George Clooney. I'm sorry I am not on the Clooney train. Perhaps it is my age, but his gray hair reminds me of someone my dad's age. I've actually never found his cockiness appealling.
2007 - His good buddy Matt Damon. Um. Really?! There is nothing about him that is sexy. He looks like a school boy. He's not even cute, muchless sexy.
2008 - Hugh Jackman. Okay, he has a little bit of sex appeal. I understood him as their choice. He looks strong and masculine.

Now, a few of my choices for sexiest man alive. I havne't seen the magazine yet, but i'm hoping they make the cut!

Alex Meraz, the actor who plays Paul in New Moon. Whew! He makes me sweat a little. I first saw him on the Rachael Ray show. After that, I saw him a few times here and there. He is so wonderfully easy to look at. He's a year older than me, married, and daddy to a 19mo old little boy. Sweet!!
Simon Baker, Aussie actor who plays Patrick Jane on the Mentalist. His character is hilarious and very clever. His blonde hair and blue eyes make his sexiness more subtle. Love a guy with brains as well as looks. He's super cute!!

Michael Buble, crooner of classic, pop songs. My goodness, just hearing his voice makes me melt. The toussled hair and puppy dog eyes are an extra bonus. I know he isn't traditionally good looking, but his voice puts him on my list! He also has an awesome sense of humor and down to earth personality.

I'm going to head to the local Cafe tonight and check out the magazine. Hopefully my hotties make the cut. {btw.. I didn't mention my crush Shaun Sipos because I talked about him last week! Love him too!! Last nights epi of Melrose Place made me love him more. wink!! Still love me some Makim Chmerkovskiy too!! HOTness!!}

Random Thoughts for Thursday

Oh MAN am I glad it's Thursday!!

To say that i'm exhausted is an understatement. I'm TORRED! {That's country for extremely tired.} Care Bear has been playing the bed hop game. Remember "And the Little One Said" Yeah, I think it's becoming a habit. A habit that I, for one, do not like. She is a rowdy sleeper that likes to hit and kick..in the face! Last night, I got kicked square in the face then head butted in the lip. Ow! This is how it all went down.
She finally went to bed around 9pm. Then she woke up at 2am and wanted to play. You'd think she'd know the difference in night and day by now. I didn't want to play, so I took her to our bed and she fell asleep..sort of. If you consider eyes closed while rolling and punching sleeping {and I do because I have to} then yes, she fell asleep. Only to awake at 6:20am for good. Wahhh!! My eyes are burning they are so sleepy!

Speaking of my eyes, I still have a twitch going on in my left eye. What is that about?! It's been almost a month now! Is it from lack of sleep or something else? Yeesh, it needs to stop because it's driving me insane {possibly literally..maybe that's what it is.}

Speak Can we discuss TV for a moment.
So, Gossip Girl's much anticipated {by the media, not by me!} 3 Some was a joke! I can't believe the media{?} threw such a big fit over that. Oh well.
Melrose Place. Love.Me.Some! I have a teensy{er..huge school girl} crush on David. He's just so cute with his puppy dog eyes and blond hair. {hehe}I'm in shock that Ashlee Simpson got fired, but i'm also kind of happy because I can't stand her character. So annoying!
CMAs Great show! Brad Paisley is so funny. Carrie Underwood seems like a biz.. , but I like her music. Who's amazing? Billy Currington is amazing. Mmm. I like to listen and look at him. His voice is the epitomy of sexiness. Cannot believe Taylor Swift won Entertainer of the Year. Okay, maybe I can. I know her following, but dang really?

Miss Priss has taken an obsession to Fancy Nancy books. They are really cute and feature many "fancy" words. I'm not sure why she likes them so much, but we checkout a new one every time we go to the library. I think they are like $16.99 at Target. Can we say proud of their books? They also have all sorts of Fancy Nany Dolls and accessories out now too.

Did yall TwiHards check out the pic of Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart holding hands walking off the tarmac in London? Are they or aren't they? I kinda wish they weren't. She's really cute in the movies, but no so much in real life.{hehe}.. the funniest part of that picture scandal was Kellan Lutz and Peter Facinelli's tweet that made fun of it. I saw it on people.com Check it out!

PrissyMiss Boutique news. You can now order Beanies in either size, Infant or Toddler. I'm also adding a Build Your own Flower Beanie and Build Your Own Bow Beanie Feature. In December, I will start doing a Bow of the Month, where if you order so much{TBD}, you get the Bow of the Month for FREE with your order.

My Review of the 20/20 Albinism Story

I was pleased with the first thirty minutes of the show. I think they gave a lot of accurate and helpful information.

The very first story about the baby with Albinism immediatley brought tears to my eyes because that has been my life for the passed year. Everything they said was like it was coming from my own mouth. That sweet baby girl looked so simiilar to my Care Bear and it just really hit home hard. It's a devistating diagnosis as a parent because you know your child is going to live with this condition for the rest of their life. Just like the model with Albinism said, "A lot of people outgrow things, but you can't outgrow Albinism" That's what goes through my mind every day.

To see this show and hear other's stories that are living with this condition is numbing. The little boy that said people pick on him and call him names, the girl that spends 20 hours alone and said people try to trip her while walking down the halls. That's the cruelty my daughter is going to have to endure one day..or possibly every day.

As I sit here, tears still streaming down my face, I think about my beauitful little girl that deserves as much equality as every other child and I just pray that she receives it. I know how cruel the world can be, especially to someone who looks a little different. It's so hard as a mom, I think because I just want to protect her and I know that I can't forever. It makes me so angry watching this show that I feel like i'll go ring some little kids neck if they mistreat my baby! I don't know if it will ever get easier. But for now, i'm so very happy they aired this story and i'm so thankful that so many of you have watched it for Care Bear and all the others out there living with Albinism.

Now for the Tanzania part. That was horrific and so incredibly inhumane. I had to quit watching because it made me nauseous. I can't even imagine and I don't want to. You can sign a petition that will be delivered to the Tanzanian govt here

Remember to think about this story and the real people it involves next time you make a joke about being "Albino" or you see someone who looks different. {not that any of you do..i'm just saying}

Albinism on the News!

Most of you that read my blog know that my Care Bear has Albinism. Which is a genetic condition resulting in little to no melaning, resulting in little to no pigmentation in the eyes, skin and hair. Not many people can tell by looking at her and most people don't even believe us and tell us to get a second opinion. But she does indeed have it and if we ever were to have more children, we would have a 1 in 4 chance of them having it as well. Miss Priss was not the 1 in 4 obviously.

Anyway, there is going to be a story on 2020 tonight covering Albinism.

I'm not sure of the specifics, but I think the main story is about the horrible killings of people with Albinism in Tanzania. It is their belief that people with Albinism should be killed for their body parts to use as witch craft. Disgusting right?

Please watch this story if you get a chance! You will learn a lot, i'm sure. I'm so very excited that they are airing this tonight. It brought tears to my eyes because the media tends to ignore Albinism as a medical condition and people continue to sterotype. Not many know the truth about Albinism and I pray this story tonight will bring much awareness!

Random Thoughts for Thursday {on Fri}

I sometimes get aggrivated when I forgot to post things and it's a day late, but i'll forgive myself this time.

First. OMG! Is it really October already?!?! WOW!
This time last year I was thinking "Yes, my due date is in two weeks {the 14th}" Guess what, she waited for two more weeks. Grrr! Good grief I cannot believe Care Bear is almost a year old. It makes my heart ache. Her little year flew by so quickly. The first four months were spent worrying myself sick about her eyes and what could possibly be wrong with her. I also had so many issues after having my babies that I know I will never get to be pregnant and I have my own children ever again =( It breaks my heart, but it's for the best of my mental and physical state.

Which brings me to my next topic. I haven't shared this with anyone but my mom, so feel priviledged. C and I are talking about adopting. We have been discussing it since before Care Bear was conceived. Obviously, we put it on hold, but are now thinking about it again. We would want to pursue Domestic Infant Adoption. However, as you all know, we are flat broke at the moment and it would cost a pretty penny to do that. We are willing to wait as long as it takes though because we know we are going to adopt someday, just when the time is right. My mom gave me a call yesterday saying that my older cousin is pregnant, but wants to give the baby up for adoption. What?! We'll see where that lead goes.. I promise to keep you updated, but if you know me in real life, shh!

So, onto lighter things. I love Fall TV lineups. My favorites right now are

Castle!
It's my FAV show of all of them. It better not get cancled or i'll be more ticked than I was when Las Vegas and Dirty, Sexy, Money got the ax!

the Big Bang Theory
This is the funniest show! I really like Sheldon. Cracks. me. up!
Melrose Place
This show makes me wish I was old enough when the old Melrose was on! I'm already addicted and can't wait until the next week.
90210
Like it too! Not as much as Melrose, but it's still enticing.

The Mentalist
This one is neck and neck with castle! They are quite similar, but I love them both! They are very clever.

I watched a little bit of Survivor Samoa last night and it was decent. I've never watched any of them. I don't think i'll tune in every week, but it wasn't near as bad as I thought it'd be.

I've been sick all week. Well, not sick, but congested. It started in my head and now has progressed to my chest. Gross! That's why i've been so tired, I think.

I'm having fun with my kids now that it's cooler weather. We're able to go outside a lot more! I'm always happier when it's nice outside too. lol! I hate hot weather. Fall is much better and I love everything that comes along with it, the smells, the colors outside, the breezes, football games, the sound of kids laughing and playing outside, the pumpkin patch, the cute kid clothes and the comfy mommy clothes!!

Goodness, i've been working so hard on bows and still feel like I haven't accomplished anything! I don't know how some people do it. I'm running like crazy lately. lol! I always manage to get my orders finished, but to make a stock is difficult!! I'm excited about the show i'm doing next weekend though! I had a lot of fun last year and am sure I will again. {hope to see some of you there!}

Here is what my "work station" looks like currently! Blah!! I know.. what a mess.

If You're Happy and You Know It

After a very stressful day, I remembered how cute Care Bear was this morning and after her nap doing "If you're happy and you know it" with Barney.

First thing this morning. She claps along with them. So.stinkin'.cute!!

This is right after her nap. She likes to lounge in this bouncy seat and drink her bottle while she watches Barney. ha!

No, they do not watch TV all day, I just have the camera handy when we are downstairs.
She is mid clap here! =)

Hold Please.. Emmy Edition

We are taking a break from our scheduled post of 'Bargain Shopper Am I' to discuss a few things that stood out to me from the Emmys.

1st.
Dear Justin Timberlake, I'm writing to let you know that your new Emmy night look is not for you. I understand that you were trying to look 'smart' or what have you, but it seriously downplayed..err depleted your suave sex appeal. I'll forgive you this time, but I want you to bring your sexy back asap! Thanks love xoxo

2nd. Holy cleavage Blake Lively!! How much tape went into holding those up? Honestly, probably not much considering you are young {about the same as me} with no kids {quite the opposite of me} Yes, I am jealous and yes I did gawk with my jaw open like the fat kid staring at the cheerleader in highschool for a split second, but no worries, I got over it ;)

3rd. Someone please get Heidi Klum to a labor and delivery room soon! There is no more room for that baby girl to grow! I must say though, she is looking absoloutley fabulous in in her 'curve' hugging dress! Wish I looked like that at nine months pregnant.

Oh yes and the moustache from Sarah Silverman was classic. I usually am not a fan, but that caught me off guard and made me laugh out loud a little.

"..that's all."

Ode to Barney

Oh Fabulously Ridiculous Purple Dinosaur
I may despise you, but my kids think you're a roar!
I hate the way you laugh,
but love the lessons you teach.
You lets kids play in class
and even on the beach.
When i'm busy cleaning house,
you keep my kids quiet as a mouse. =)

So, thank you ridiculous purple dinosaur..err Barney!!
